I'm home now. Have been for a while.

To conclude this blog, I must tell you all I had an AMAZING time and that I am officially a better skier than Dad and will be forever and ever and EVER.

That is all.

THE X GAMES

So yesterday was a pretty fab day, we all hopped on a coach and went to Tignes (about an hours drive away) to go to the first day of The X Games

In the middle are the massive jumps for the Slope Style event
and on the right is the Super Pipe
We had a little yet painful trek up the hill so we could watch the Slope Style, however I didn't get many pictures as after about 45 minutes the snow started to pour so we headed into town and chilled out in the Bars but here are the 2 decent pictures I got from the event

David & David
(aka Dennis because there are too many Davids here)
Me & Fi
After we sat around for a few hours just chillin' we went up to the pipe to watch the snowboarders qualifying where I took plenty of piccys!

David & me chilling in some deck chairs watching some amateurs do tricks

Hugh, David, Amy & Amy

Was pretty darn cool, however we got cold and it became a little repetitive so we wondered off to find some food and just escape the crowd a little. So we went back to the bar - of course!

We got back to La Rosiere about half 10 so it was straight to bed ready for work today. Hurrah!

And that's about it for now!!

Catch ya' later

My Wall

So I am EXTREMELY aware of how slack I've been on this blog as it's all very same-y same-y now.

Skiing has been off the cards for a week now as it's not worth it due to the amount of ice on the slopes. I was walking home from the pub Tuesday night and went down the hill on butt pretty much the entire way home. (Okay, the gin & tonics didn't help, but still).

So apart from that not much has happened, even less than normal due to lack of skiing :/

On a positive note, look at awesome my "Wall of Posters Found in Magazines & Newspapers Left Here By Guests" is. I sit there and flick through old magazines and newspapers let by guests. You can always count on The Sunday Times to provide me with decent posters. It's almost like my wall back home :D

That is all for now :)

Some snappies from our day off

We had a super relaxing day today. No skiing as were were feeling a little fragile so Me, Fi and Debbie went for a walk and just chilled out in some deck chairs for a while.

It's been SO nice this week, which means the snow is rather cruddy and was pretty slushy but it does mean that I could happily walk around town in just a hoodie which is rather lush :)

Anyways, here's a few snaps from this afternoon

So yeah, all is hunky-dory here. The sun is shining so much that there have been a couple of avalanches causing bald patches on the mountain which is a bit upsetting but it was bound to happen some time. Loving the sunshine though :D

I'm Still Alive, Don't Worry!!

Sorry about the lack of updates, as I'm sure you can imagine I've been pretty busy last week. When I wasn't working I was skiing with Mum and Dad. Okay, apart from a couple of days but I am now about to nap in an attempt to regain some of the sleep that I didn't get because of Sunday - bloomin' Transfer Day AGAIN!!!

As well as a visit from the parents, we had to complete a Mid-season Deep Clean so that means that I'm already pretty much half way through! It's absolutely flown by!!!

All is well here in France, absolutely lovely to see the parents and that I got to introduce them to everyone here. The came to our favourite pub on our night off and stayed til it closed at half 1. Even did a couple of toffee vodka shots!!! Sadly they couldn't keep up with the rest of us who were out til about half 5!! Then slept pretty much all of Wednesday hahaa!

Here's a picture that I'm sure you'll all see either via Mum & Dad or Facebook, but this is "Team Brac"

Fiona, Rob et Moi!
I'm sure you'll hear all the gossip from Mum & Dad but here's one of my favourite pictures of the week. It was taken on Saturday in Italia!

David and I being super cool

I've been bugging Jess (one of the childcare staff) for the pictures of our Rat Race from the other week so you can see what we get up to with a bit of organised fun :)

Drama in Le Braconnier!

So yesterday we'd just sent out main course and one of our guests  went downstairs as she wasn't feeling very well. Her husband gave us her meal to foil up for later when before we knew it Fiona had run back into the kitchen and told us to call an ambulance!!!

Poor woman had fainted at the top of the stairs and fallen down and smacked her head on the wall/floor. Luckily Fiona's mum is a doctor and the owners live upstairs so knew who to call! She's absolutely fine just has a rather nasty black eye but she should be back on the slopes by tomorrow. PHEW!!!

So yeah, that's a bit of dramatics for ya!

Then after dinner Rob, Fiona and I all sat down with Fiona's family and another family and we all played The Logo Game which was really fun. Mum, Dad we don't play enough board games. I'm buying Trivial Pursuit when I get home.

These are definitely the nicest bunch of guests we've had yet, and there's only 1 really young child so there shouldn't be a load of kids running around singing Gangnam Style like there is EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!!!

As expected, there are a few photos posted onto Facebook of our Cross-dressing Night.

Fiona and me with our sexy moustaches

We also went skiing the other day so here's a piccy for you :)

Me and Fiona. Emma is taking the picture

Week 7

Tomorrow will be the start of the seventh week I've been away!! Can you believe it!?!?

Fiona's family are here this week and are staying in our chalet. They're really nice and our transfer day yesterday went swimmingly!

The weather hasn't been too fab recently, especially Saturday and Sunday as the wind had picked up and it just wasn't fun. At all.

I'm afraid I really haven't got much to report, everything has just sort of fallen into place and we have got ourselves an excellent routine and can get out of our chalet by 10 - half ten each morning and before half 9 pretty much every evening which is great as it gives us more time to just chill out in the evenings.

Every Sunday evening there is a theme night at our favourite bar. Last week was "Cross-dressing Night" which was ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!! So many guys in tutus and make up. And all us girls had some sort of facial hair drawn on to our faces.

Last night was "Chav Night" which was just a good excuse to go out wearing sweatpants. Of course we had to be a bit rowdier to fit the characters properly but most of us just sound too posh or nice to be a proper chav. T'was tres amusing, I'm sure pictures will eventually make their way onto Facebook at some point.

ALSO, the other day I decided to take a walk around to try and find Mum & Dad's chalet that they will be staying in, after doing some research of course.

I FOUND IT!!!

It's a bit of a shame they aren't in a more central area of La Rosiere, but it's an easy walk down to the chalet, just a bit of a pain having to walk up the hill back home. It's quite a way away from the lift so taking the free ski definitely is the best option!

LESS THAN 2 WEEKS NOW!!!!
